[Auth_ldap] Does auth_ldap require ldap_modules?

Hi,
I'm working on Apache 1.3 on a Windows Server and need to get
auth_ldap working. I got the windows dll from the auth_ldap website
and installed it. Do I need to also get the 'ldap_module'?
Instructions I found at

Indicated that I needed this ldap_modules, but I can't find a trace of
it anywhere....

Can someone help me?
