[Auth_ldap] openldap/ssl questions

Hello,

I have been browsing the list archives, and hope I have stumbled upon 
what I need to get openldap/ssl working with auth_ldap. (ldaps is 
running on a iPlanet/SunOne DS, but I've seen nothing about getting 
auth_ldap working with their latest sdks -- and I think I'd like to 
stick with openldap for this anyhow).

I saw quite a few posts about searching the archives, and finally came 
across a patch from August of 2001, posted by Malcolm Locke. Is this 
what I need to get things going?

If so, is there a clean version of this anywhere on the rudedog site? 
I've tried using a cut/paste from the browser, but that just seems to 
munge the data at certain points. I am trying to fix the broken bits by 
hand, but my coding abilities may not be up to the task to get it just 
right.

If anyone has a link or some pointers on getting this working, I'd be 
grateful. Also, if I'm offtrack with this patch, and there is something 
better, links to that would be appreciated as well.
